The Afrika Youth Caravan – Powering a New Generation of Climate Leaders
Led by KEAN International (Kheri Environmental Action Network), the Afrika Youth Caravan is a bold, youth-driven movement breaking barriers to climate action across the continent. Born from the urgent need for inclusive participation at COP26 (Glasgow, 2021), we tackle systemic hurdles—funding gaps, visa restrictions, and accreditation challenges—to ensure Afrikan youth shape global climate solutions.
Our Journey of Impact:
COP27 (2022, Egypt): We united young leaders from every corner of Afrika through decentralized workshops, advocacy training, and a powerful collective presence in Sharm El-Sheikh—proving that grassroots action fuels global change.
COP28 (2023, UAE): We amplified Afrikan youth innovation on the world stage, spotlighting locally rooted climate and nature solutions through high-impact dialogues and side events.
Why This Matters:
This isn’t just about attending COPs—it’s about rewriting the narrative. The Caravan is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and unstoppable leadership of Afrikan youth. We’re not waiting for permission; we’re building partnerships, tools, and platforms to drive real policy shifts and regenerative action.
Join the Movement:
To partners: Invest in the next generation of climate leaders.
To youth: Your voice belongs at the table. Let’s march toward COP30 and beyond—together.
